CMO Cast Iron Uni-directional Manual Knife Gate Valve

A uni-directional wafer knife gate valve featuring an epoxy coated, one-piece cast iron body. The polished stainless steel gate allows a good seal against the EPDM seat. Full-bore design provides high flow rates with low pressure drop. Suitable for liquids that contain a maximum of 5% suspended solids, the valve can be used for dry solids in gravity feed applications when it should be installed with the arrow on the body pointing in the opposite direction to the flow. Designed for use in the paper industry, mining, silo emptying, chemical plants, pumping, food industry, and sewage treatment.

This version of the valve is operated with a cast iron hand wheel on a non-rising stem. The valves feature a one-piece cast iron body with guides to support the gate and seat wedges. The guides allows the valve to support 30% of the maximum working pressures in reverse flow but it should be noted that the valve won’t be 100% water tight in this situation. Available in sizes 2” (DN50), 2 ½” (DN65), 3” (DN80), 4" (DN100), 5” (DN125), 6” (DN150), 8” (DN200), 10” (DN250) and 12” (DN300).
The valves have a maximum working temperature of 90°C, and a working pressure of 10 bar in the sizes between 2” and 10”, and 6 bar for the 12” size.
